Jollibee Cup Art Workshop

Our family is ready to go home after purchasing groceries at Puregold Araneta branch when a Jollibee crew approached us and offered a weekend activity for youngsters. She briefly introduced what would be the workshop is all about and upon convincing our daughter, we paid small fee for 200 pesos only covering the art materials and food for the attendee.

Jaha is very anxious waiting for Saturday to come. Gee, it is only Thursday and she kept talking and discussing over this with us for the whole two days.

Friday night and she slept late because she is very busy with the online games, www. friv.com, a website that offers free online gaming but she promised to wake up early for the much awaited short workshop. We had a deal and I let her be.
Saturday, March 31, 2012, the day has come and as early as 6:00 am, I heard her instantly stand up and hollered... "I am awake, I am awake, mommy, daddy, wake up!" Still dizzy from late night surfing, I immediately stood up and prepared her breakfast cereal. She took a bath, picked her own clothes, comb her hair, sprayed perfume behind her ears, and she is set to go. Wow! This is a rare moments when my kid is very fast especially in anticipating exciting activity for her life! :-)

Hmmm... we arrived 30 minutes early and we used it to eat breakfast at Jollibee. Ordering two sets of longganisa meal for us (her parents, coz we have not had our breakfast), and Jaha for a cup of Milo blast sundae.

The moment has come, registration is set and we are the first person to arrive on the event but second on the registration line. After taking the art materials, we chose where we would stay on the 2nd floor area.

Materials for the cup art workshop:
Blue glue pen, small cut out hearts, cotton accessories, beads, art paper

The complete set, with the paste and morning newspaper

The outcome of Jaha's cup design. Of course, with the help of mom and dad to complete the project.

These are the submitted cup designs.

The kid's workshop is not a kid's activity without games. First game was divided into two teams; the Arriba team and Diba team. Both teams should follow the gesture of the host in which the loudest shout will win. Our team is Arriba and we won the first game.

The Arriba team kids are lining up for their prizes.
The second game is Trip to Jerusalem, where there are chairs positioned in a circle and the kids are rotating around the chairs, dancing, and when the music stops, they should have a chair to sit on. The person who has no chair to sit on it is automatically out of the game. The elimination is one player in each round,  and it consists of many rounds depending on how many players are involved.

After the exhausting parlor playoffs, kids dig in with their food. Surprisingly, my daughter was famished and ate all up her food servings.

While eating, Jollibee mascot appeared and performed a dance number. Watch the video below.

Kids loved it. I do not know what they are seeing that they could not stop to giggle. In addition, children are always hugging the big bee.

Before taking off the place, Jaha once more loomed towards the mascot and requested to take a picture with it.
