Manila Ocean Park - Jellyfish Sanctuary

Growing up near mountain tops and nearby beaches, I am accustomed to monthly family outings along the beaches of Ilocos. One sea creature that attracts me is the jellyfish. Nevertheless, for my entire childhood, I thought that there is only one type of jellyfish. I realized when I reached high school that there are different species among them until I met them personally at the Manila Ocean Park Jellyfish sanctuaries.

It took a long time to have this encounter but it is worth it because my daughter was fascinated with the different dance lights emanating from their luminescent gel body.
Our plan is to watch the sea lion show instead of the jellyfish sanctuary but the former surprisingly full already. Hmmm, too much audience that day I think, because the parking slots were chockfull with tourist bus and school buses.

As we paved our way to the jellyfish sanctuary entrance, it was dark and cold. The jellyfish growing stage is painted on the walls complete with shimmering show lights that entices visitors to read and to proceed to the main entrance.

Jaha got excited upon seeing the different aquariums with different lights glowing from every jellyfishes in the room.

Sadly, I was not able to get the exact names and clear pictures because whenever I took a shot, the photo is blurred and lights are scattered. It looks like the pictures have the smudged effect on it. Here are just the few descent photos taken.
